The 4th annual Tri-University Workshop (1-2 Nov) 2008, Wuhan University of Technology, Wuhan,China

Wuhan University of Technology in China will host the annual Tri-University Workshop which aims to provide a platform for Wuhan University of Technology, Central South University and Monash University to communicate and exchange ideas on engineering.

There will be a range of presentations given by academics and research students and discussions on potential joint projects.

Previous Tri-University workshops have taken place at Monash University, in 2007, Central South University in 2006 and Wuhan University of Technology, in 2005.

There will be a range of presentations on a wide variety of topics including nano-materials, green chemistry, process system optimisation, digital manufacturing technology and application, fluid mechanics and city traffic engineering.

Other organisations participating are the CSIRO, University of Auckland, Wuhan University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Dalian University of Technology, Tianjin University and Shanghai Jiaotong University.

The workshop will enable people from other institutes to establish links and discover opportunities of joint research and collaborative programs.

After the workshop, the Monash Engineering delegation will visit Central South University in Changsha, Shanghai Jiaotong University, the National Engineering Research Centre for Nanotechnology, Fudan University, and Tongji University in Shanghai, China.
