MOU signed with South China University of Technology (SCUT)

A delegation from South China University of Technology (SCUT) visited the Faculty of Engineering on the 1st of April 2008, to sign a Memorandum of Understanding for education, research and collaborative opportunities.

Under the agreement, high achieving students graduating with a Bachelor degree from the SCUT College of Light Industry and Food Sciences, will continue into the Master of Chemical Engineering at Monash University.

The delegation, led by Vice President of SCUT, Professor Zhu Min, visited the Electron Microscopy Centre, facilities for Hydrogen Storage Measurements and laboratories in Materials Engineering and Chemical Engineering at the Clayton campus.

Deputy Vice-Chancellor (International), Professor Stephanie Fahey, signed the MOU with Professor Zhu. SCUT and Monash will explore several collaborative activities in various areas, including joint teaching and researching in Paper and Pulp Technology.
