2012 SMEEA DinnerThe annual SMEEA dinner was held on Wednesday evening 1st August in the University Club on the Clayton campus and Bill Brown has provided a summary of the very enjoyable evening and a copy of the presentation on ECSE early history.
A Brief History of the Department of Electrical and Computer Systems Engineering at Monash University - 1962 to 2012It is 50 years since the Department was formed in 1962 so it is appropriate that a history be written at this time. Bill Brown, who joined the Department in 1964, has put together some reminiscences of his time there. He has been assisted by many others. At this stage he is looking for comments, corrections and additions in order to work towards a more complete version of the history. Please send comments etc to firstname.lastname@example.org The file is in a pdf A4 format. Bill says he may be persuaded eventually to produce an A5 printed version, depending on the degree of interest shown. He is also proposing to talk about the history at the next SMEEA dinner, scheduled for 1st August 2012.
SMEEA welcomes alumni from all courses run in the past and present by the Department of Electrical and Computer Systems Engineering, including non-Clayton Campus courses. Membership for SMEEA is free.
