Equity and diversity
The Faculty of Engineering is committed to promoting equal opportunity in education and employment.To this end, the faculty has established an Equity and Access Advisory Committee. The principal goal of the committee is to achieve an environment in which all members of the faculty are able to work and study effectively to reach their potential within the faculty.
The committee reports to the Dean and the Faculty Executive Committee. The Chair of the committee represents the faculty on the University Advisory Committee on Equity and Access in Employment (ACE) which in turn reports to the Equal Opportunity Committee.
Disability contact officer
The Disability Contact Officer operates as a contact and referral point within the faculty for students and staff seeking assistance with disability issues. Further support for students with a disability or a long term condition is available from the Disability Liaison Unit (DLU). More information is available on the DLU website.Contact for students

Indigenous student liaison officer
The Indigenous Student Liaison Officer acts as a contact point for indigenous students, to provide mentoring and advice regarding: academic progress, career path development and personal issues.Further support for indigenous students is available from the Centre for Australian Indigenous Studies (CAIS).
